Tangerine peel has a sharp bitter taste and a warm, energising and defusing effect. It strentgthens and moves stagnant qi in the spleen and stomach, gets energy running through the inner median again, dries moisture, clear mucus and lowers rebellious qi.
Preparation: pour fleshly boiled water into the peel and leave for a few minutes. Tangerine peel may also be added to black tea (one or two tea spoons full) before brewing. This is particularly pleasant after a meal.
Daily amount: 3-9 grams.
